Zeiss Rumored to Update the 135mm f/1.8 A-mount Lens Soon!

The Current Sony 135mm f/1.8 Carl Zeiss T* Telephoto Prime Lens

Great News for Sony A-mount users: Zeiss is planning to update the current 135 f/1.8 ZA A-mount lens soon. The updated 135mm A-mount lens will have the same optical solution of the current 135mm F1.8 ZA lens, and it will add a new T-coatings, weather-sealing and SSM. The announcement date of this updated 135mm A-mount lens is expected to be around Photokina 2016 in September. The detailed info of this new lens are still unknown, but at least it is confirmed that Sony doesn’t give up the A-mount.

In addition, the rumor mill said that Zeiss will also update the 85mm and 35mm lenses in 2017.

PS: I remember two years ago there were some similar rumors coming out, but finally no more news, so hope this time it is true!
