Three New Canon Full Frame Mirrorless Cameras Are Coming?

We know Canon is actively working on one new full frame mirrorless camera which is expected to be announced for Photokina 2018, but it seems that Canon is making more than one full frame mirrorless camera. The latest rumor said Canon is currently working on three full frame mirrorless cameras, which are in different stages of development.

The first FF mirrorless camera is the one we’ve talked for months…This one is still undergoing lab tests and development and it will be announced as early as August 2018, just before the Photokina 2018, which will take place in September in Cologne, Germany. This Canon full frame mirrorless camera will come with a native EF mount and it will use a new dedicated full frame CMOS sensor, NOT the image sensors from either the EOS 5D Mark IV or EOS 6D Mark II.

The second one is a smaller full frame mirrorless camera with a new mount (modified EF-M mount or something else, not known yet) – This is the first time we’ve heard of such a camera coming!

The third one is a fixed lens full frame mirrorless camera which will NOT come in 2018 since this camera is under early development.

I have to say Canon is behind Sony and Fuji in the mirrorless competition. So, if it is true, that will be a big project for Canon and a big hit for the mirrorless market.

Let’s wait! Wait for Canon…to announce one full frame mirrorless monster like Sony a7RII ($2,698) or Sony a9 ($4,498).
