Surprise: Sony to Announce a New “Secret” High End Camera (Super Expensive)

Sony announced the A68 A-mount camera, and Sony will announce the new Sony A6xxx E-mount camera in the near future. But today’s rumor is about something completely different and possibly “unexpected”: Sony is rumored to announce a new “secret” high end camera. According to the rumors from SAR, this special camera will be released in the second half of the financial year (between October and March), so this “secret” camera is likely to be announced around CP+ 2016. The specs of this surprise camera is still unknown, but this camera is a real high end camera: It’s really a “revolution” more than an “evolution”.

And, this new “Secret” High End Camera seems to be a high end “A-mount” camera, which aims to shake up the DSLR market. A German SonyUserforum member GBayer claims to know the this High End A-mount camera key info:

1. This camera will not be called Sony A99II.

2. This camera is super expensive, price around 5.000€

3. This camera is made for real pro photographers.

4. This camera is called a “Wunderwaffe” (miracle weapon), It’s made to shake up the DSLR market.

5. This camera uses new batteries

6. Sony will create a special “Production” line for the new amazing camera.

Reminder: Sony will release a new 16-35mm f/2.8 FE fast zoom lens in a couple of months. So it means that sony has the plan to update all their current FE zoom lenses whcih are the:

Sony 16-35mm f/4.0
Sony 24-70mm f/4.0
Sony 70-200mm f/4.0
