Sony is Working on a New FE 200-600mm Super Telephoto Zoom Lens

The New Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS Lens

Great news for all Sony E-mount users: Sony is allegedly working on a new FE 200-600mm Super Telephoto Zoom Lens! After the Sony a9 and Sony a7R III announcements, there is really a high demand for the native Sony E mount super telephoto zoom lens on the market. Currently, Sony has only one native – Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS Lens ($2,498). Sony users can also use third-part super telephoto zoom lenses like the Sigma 150-600mm Sports lens or Tamron SP 150-600mm G2 lens (with lens adapter).

So, I believe this new Sony FE 200-600mm lens will be very welcomed by the most Sony sports photographers and wildlife shooters.

Reminder: Sony already announced the development of Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM Super-Telephoto Prime lens along with Sony a7R III and FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS lens. This Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM lens will be officially announced in Summer 2018 and it will be a pretty lens for sports and wildlife shooters.

Sony a7R III: $3,198 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama.

Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens: $1,298 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama.
