Sony FE 400mm & FE 135mm f/1.8 GM Lenses Coming This Fall

The New Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS Lens

In May 2017 Sony officially announced two new Wide-Angle Full Frame E Mount Lenses: Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM Lens ($2,198) and Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G Lens ($1,698). And we have to remind you that Sony is also actively working on a new FE 400mm telephoto prime lens and a new FE 135mm f/1.8 GM lens, which are expected to be announced sometime this Fall (July-August-September).

Sony FE 400mm Lens: The aperture of this Sony FE 400mm lens is NOT known yet, probably f/4.0 or f/2.8. The rumor mill said Sony is testing two versions: a faster f/2.8 lens and a more compact f/4.0 lens. So, if it turns out to be true, which one do you prefer, Sony FE 400mm f/2.8 GM lens or Sony FE 400mm f/4.0 GM lens?

Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM Lens: This Sony FE 135mm GM portrait lens will be faster than the newly announced Zeiss Batis 135mm f/2.8 ($1,999), and it will probably be announced within the next three months…

In addition, Sigma is developing a new FE 35mm f/1.4 lens, which will be much cheaper than the Sony/Zeiss FE lenses.
