It seems that Sony will soon update the 85mm f/1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* prime lens.

The Sony 85mm f/1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* prime lens has been removed from their official Sony A-mount lens list, and latest rumors said Sony 85mm f/1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* Replacement will be announced soon. Sony said they will update a few of their current A-mount lenses, so it seems Sony is making good on its promise.

This new Sony 85mm f/1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* Replacement will be manufactured by Cosina Co Ltd in Japan and it is expexted to have Zeiss T-Coatings, SSM and Weather Sealing.
