Sony 18-105mm G-Master E PZ Cine Lens Rumored to be Announced around NAB 2016

Good news we have already reported:

1. Sony will announce additional six new FE lenses within 2016, and some of these lenses will ship much later, maybe in 2017.

2. Zeiss will announce 5 new Full-Frame E-mount lenses, including 3 new ones at PhotoPlus 2016 in October.

Today’s rumor:

According to a rumor coming out of SonyAlphaRumors, Sony will announce a new 18-105mm G-Master E PZ Cine lens around NAB 2016 in April to update the current FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS lens. The current FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS lens is not wide enough for Sony FS5 and FS7 users. So, a new 18-105mm G-Master E PZ Cine lens will be welcomed by most Sony FS5 and FS7 owners.

In February 2016 Sony introduced their flagship “G master” brand of interchangeable lenses and announced the first three FE models:

Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM Lens
Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM Lens
Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens

All the new G master lenses are amazing! So, of course I believe the new 18-105mm G-Master lens will have improved image resolution and amazing performance. The aperture of this new lens is still unknown, maybe f3-f4. Stay tuned for more info.
