Rumors: Sony A7RII and A6100 Coming on May 15th, 2015

Sony X Australia on Facebook has posted a curious teaser of a broken mirror, which should refer to a new mirrorless camera launch. Sony will hold a event on May 15, and the long romored Sony A7RII and A6100 may be displayed on the show. And, the announcement should be 1-2 days earlier.

Up to now, it is still noe clear the new Sony A7RII wil feature a 56MP Sensor or the same 36MP sensor as the A7R, but Sony A7RII will come with a brand new and improved RAW technology.

Sony A6100 will feature a 24.3-megapixel APS-c image sensor with 1080p XAVCS Codec, that means it will not have 4K video.

  • New RAW engine
  • 36MP sensor (Same sensor as a7R) or 56MP Sensor
  • IBIS
  • Better ISO range
  • Faster AF speed
  • a silent shutter
  • an improved processing engine

Sony A6100 rumored specs:

  • No 4K Video
  • 24.3 MP sensor
  • APS-C
  • 1080p XAVCS codec
  • Announcement in May or June, 2015
