Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 and ZS60 Cameras Announced

In addition to the new Panasonic Leica DG 100-400mm f/4-6.3 MFT lens, Panasonic officially announced two new compact cameras at CES 2016: Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS60.

The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 camera is a premium compact travel camera that boasts performance typically associated with expensive interchangeable lens models. Despite the camera’s small size, the latest addition to the LUMIX ZS range combines a host of features and a powerful 10x zoom to make it the perfect travel companion for even the most demanding photographers and videographers.

The LUMIX ZS100 brings together the visual performance of a large 1″ sensor and the legendary optical performance of a bright LEICA DC Lens in a highly compact point-and-shoot camera. A large 1-inch MOS sensor, one of the biggest of any camera in its class, combines with Panasonic’s Venus engine to capture consistently bright and beautiful images wherever your travels take you. And with innovative features such as 4K Photo and Post-Focus, it’s never been easier to capture the exact frame that you visualized when looking through the lens. What’s more, with simple control and connectivity, you can share your adventure with friends and family at the press of a button.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS60 Digital Camera is a versatile point-and-shoot built for the multimedia traveler. Featuring an 18.1MP 1/2.3″ High Sensitivity MOS sensor and Venus Engine image processor, the camera affords a rich image quality with reduced noise and sensitivity to an expanded ISO 6400. For videographers, the ZS60 is also capable of 4K UHD video recording at 30p, as well as Full HD 1080p and HD 720p formats. The 4K capabilities are carried over to benefit stills shooters, too, with 4K Photo modes that provide 30 fps shooting rates at 8MP as well as a unique Post Focus function for choosing a specific point of focus after shooting.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 camera is priced at $699.99 while the ZS60 retails for $447.99 and both of them will be released on March 31, 2016.
