No New Zeiss Batis Lens Coming in 2015, One New Loxia Coming Soon

According to the latest news, Zeiss has no plan to announce another new Batis Lens in 2015, and one new wide angle Zeiss Loxia lens will be announced soon.

New Zeiss Batis Lens will not come in 2015 since Zeiss’ first goal now is to see how good performance of the current two Batis lenses, including the sales and feedbacks from readers. And then Zeiss will decide whether or not to announce another new Zeiss Batis Lens.

The goog news is another new wide angle Loxia lens will be announced soon. And this new lens will be shown at the PhotoPlus show in October.

I already reported that a more substantial volume of Zeiss Batis lenses will be released in September, thanks to an expansion of the production capacity. That’s another good news.

The newly announced Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2 Lens and Zeiss Batis 85mm f/1.8 Lens are the first full-frame autofocus lenses with an OLED display for the Sony Alpha full frame E-mount cameras. Both Zeiss Batis Lenses are amazing!
