New Nikon Patents: Nikkor 52mm f/0.9 and 36mm f/1.2 Full Frame Mirrorless Lenses

Nikon Japan recently filed two new Nikon lens patents: Nikkor 52mm f/0.9 Full Frame Mirrorless Lens and Nikkor 36mm f/1.2 Full Frame Mirrorless Lens.

Nikkor 52mm f/0.9 Full Frame Mirrorless Lens:

  • f = 36.00 (focal length)
  • FNo = 1.25 (aperture)
  • ω = 31.8 (half angle of view)
  • Y = 21.64 (image height)
  • TL = 159.500 (total length)
  • BF = 22.298 (backfocus)

Nikkor 36mm f/1.2 Full Frame Mirrorless Lens:

  • f = 36.00 (focal length)
  • FNo = 1.27 (aperture)
  • ω = 31.0 (half angle of view)
  • Y = 20.94 (image height)
  • TL = 159.500 (total length)
  • BF = 21.673 (backfocus)

Nikon already confirmed that they are currently working on a brand new mirrorless camera, which will be unique and different from other companies in terms of performance. And Nikon has already patented several full frame mirrorless lenses in the past years. The previous rumor said the upcoming Nikon full frame mirrorless camera will be announced in late 2017 or early 2018.
