New Nikon AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR Lens Coming in 2017

The Current Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED VR Lens

In addition to the full frame Nikkor ultra wide angle lens, Nikon will also announce a new Nikkor AF-P 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR full frame lens.

Nikon is allegedly planning to announce five new Nikkor lenses in 2017, in addition to the Nikon D7500 (D7200 replacement) and Nikon D850 (D810 replacement) DSLR cameras.

The first one is rumored to be a full frame ultra wide angle or a fisheye lens, the specifications will be similar to the Canon 11-24mm f/4L or Canon 8-15mm f/4L fisheye.

The secone one will be the new Nikon AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR full frame lens, which is expected to replace the current AF-S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED VR model.

Nikon is gradually introducing the “AF-P” technology in its lenses. Currently, Nikon has four AF-P NIKKOR lenses, which are all designed for APS-C DSLR cameras:
