Olympus OM-E E-M10 Mark III: the ideal travel companion

Olympus OM-E E-M10 Mark III: the ideal travel companion

Olympus presents the latest model of the award-winning OM-D series: the E-M10 Mark III with a consistently revised operating concept. The new OM-D can be as simple as a smartphone use: Just the desired mode, display the menu icons on the short-cut key and activate the touch panel. This applies not only to snapshots, but also to functions such as long-term exposure, focus bracketing or multiple exposures. Even the Live Composite and Live Bulb function can be applied without any previous knowledge. The trendy retro look and the equipment with the proven OM-D technologies make the E-M10 Mark III already a modern classic. It is an easy-to-handle lightweight.

New operating concept
The E-M10 Mark III is the camera with which the world can be rediscovered. Because the OM-D has an equipment that allows you to develop creativity spontaneously and develop photographic skills the longer you are with the camera. Even those with little previous knowledge can easily make professional recordings thanks to the four new camera modes. This can be accessed via the improved, intuitive dial wheel. With the short-cut button (right next to the on-off switch) and the touch screen, you can make menu navigation similar to the smartphone, for a very fast selection and realization of desired effects and camera settings:

AUTO mode (formerly iAUTO) has been fundamentally revised. He now recognizes blurs caused by camera shake even in the dark.

The Scene (SCN) mode has been extended and allows you to influence the desired results by selecting six themes with predefined settings.

Advanced Photo (AP) mode has been added to allow you to use functions such as Live Composite, Live Time, Multiple Exposure, HDR, Panorama, Keystone Correction, Exposure Bracketing, or Focus Bracketing without having to access the menu. In addition, the camera can be silenced so that no one feels disturbed during the recording.

In the (ART) mode there is a new type filter: Bleach Bypass, Type I gives metal surfaces a shiny effect, while Type II imitates a special color scheme and the nostalgic effect of some known cinema films.

Perfect for the road
The latest TruePic Vlll image processor from the flagship OM-D E-M1 Mark II and the unique 5-axis image stabilization (IS) from Olympus allow great results in almost any shooting situation. Sharp and not blurred, even with low light and no tripod *. The new E-M10 Mark III also features 121 contrast AF-meters that cover almost the entire image area. This allows you to focus anywhere on the screen. The continuous AF can track the movement of a subject. Face Priority AF and Eye Detection AF are particularly useful for portrait shooting, which automatically provide sharp and correctly exposed faces.

There is always something going on at times when you spend time with family and friends. But often the results of quick snapshots are disappointing – the happenings are out of focus and missed the moment! Anyone photographing with the E-M10 Mark III will be amazed at the results obtained with the Olympus high-speed autofocus system (AF).

In addition, the super-fast touch AF: Simply touch the display lightly and the subject is frozen with perfect sharpness.
Videos keep memories alive. With the E-M10 Mark III they succeed in the best 4K quality, and because the IS system has been integrated into the camera, even with every connected lens!

Practically always traveling
The elegant OM-D E-M10 Mark III is so compact and light that you can take it with you on every journey – and it always wants to have it with you. Built-in viewfinder, flash and WLAN – all in a compact and robust body that is comfortable to hold and can be held perfectly thanks to the enlarged handle. The camera has a tiltable display with touch control similar to a smartphone. Easy-to-use dial wheels and metal buttons, as well as easily visible icons, ideal to be creative on the go with little effort. The E-M10 Mark III is particularly stylish with its own genuine leather body jacket ** in black or brown and the practical automatic lens cover LC-37C.

Easy sharing via WLAN
With the WLAN function integrated in the E-M10 Mark III, users are always connected. The Olympus Image Share (OI.Share) app makes it easy to share beautiful photos and videos without having a computer with friends. Once connected to the app, smartphone or tablet can even be used to trigger the camera or to add photos to GPS data.

The E-M10 Mark III will be available from mid-September 2017 in silver or black for € 649 and CHF 799 respectively.
