Fujifilm GFX 50R Coming in 2018, GFX 100S Coming in 2019

It seems that Fujifilm is currently working hard on the GFX series Medium Format Mirrorless Cameras and lenses. According to the leaked Fujifilm G Mount Lens Roadmap, the Fujifilm GF 250mm F4 R LM OIS WR lens and GF 1.4X TC WR Tele Converter will be announced in 2018. And the rumor mill said at least 7 new GF Medium Format lenses will be unveiled in the next several years.

In addition, the latest rumors suggest Fujifilm will release two new medium format mirrorless cameras (Fujifilm GFX 50R and GFX 100S) in the next several years.

Fujifilm GFX 50R: it will have a 50MP medium format sensor, to be announced in 2018, exact announcement date is unknown.

Fujifilm GFX 100S: probably come in 2019, after the release of GFX 50R. And it will be very expensive.

The rumored list of upcoming GF lenses:

  • GF 80mm f/1.4
  • GF 180mm f/3.5
  • GF 30mm f/2.8 or GF 35mm f/2.8
  • GF 20-40mm f/4 or 4.5
  • GF 80-180mm f/4 or 4.5
  • GF Tilt-Shift 30mm or 35mm
