Confirmed: Canon EOS Rebel SL2 Will be Announced in 2017

It is now confirmed that the Canon EOS Rebel SL2 APS-C format DSLR camera will be announced sometime in 2017.

According to the report from CanonRumors, many sources said that Canon will announce the EOS Rebel SL2 camera in 2017 to replace the current Rebel SL1 ($487) model. The official announcement date is expected to be as early as the end of March, just after the release of new Canon EOS Rebel T7i and EOS 77D.

In addition, a new EF-S prime lens will probably come together with the Rebel SL2. And Canon will NOT unveil the EOS 90D or EOS 7D Mark III this year.

The previour rumor said the upcoming Canon EOS Rebel SL2 will be more smaller and lighter than the Rebel SL1. If it is true, the Rebel SL2 will be the smallest DSLR camera then.

Canon EOS Rebel SL2 Rumored Specifications:
