Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III Rumored to be Announced in Mid October
Canon will soon announce the new PowerShot G1 X Mark III to replace the current G1 X Mark II model ($649). The latest rumor suggests that the Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III camera will be announced in mid October, maybe on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. And this Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III camera will have a 24MP APS-C sensor instead of the 1.5″ sensor (in the current G1 X MKII).
Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III Rumored Specs:
- 24MP APS-C Sensor
- Dual Pixel AF
- DIGIC 7
- 24-120mm lens (35mm equivalent)
In addition, Canon will announce several more APS-C sized sensor PowerShot cameras in the next few months, but currently, we are not sure if another G series PowerShot camera will be announced alongside the PowerShot G1 X Mark III.
