Canon Patented a 16-28mm f/2.8 Lens for Full Frame Mirrorless Camera

Canon recently patented a new 16-28mm f/2.8 wide-angle zoon lens for the future full frame mirrorless camera.

• Focal length: 16.48 – 27.44mm
• F number: 2.88
• Half angle: 52.70 – 38.25
• Image height: 21.64mm
• Back focus: 12.33 – 10.00mm

The upcoming Canon full frame mirrorless camera is expected to be announced in the next 6-8 months. The previous rumor said Canon is actively developing two “prosumer” full frame mirrorless cameras. Hope Canon can unveil one full frame mirrorless monster like Sony a7R III ($3,198) or Sony a9 ($4,498).
