The new Canon EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM lens will be announced sometime in 2017.

According to the report from CanonRumors, Canon will unveil a new EF 85mm f/1.4L IS USM lens sometime in 2017. The specific announcement date is still unknown. And we are not sure if the EF 85mm f/1.4L IS will be the EF 85mm f/1.2L II lens replacement or an addition to the lineup.

The previous rumors said this new Canon EF 85mm f/1.4L IS lens will have improved optics and it will incorporate the blue spectrum refractive element of EF 35mm f/1.4L II.
